The Nondiscriminatory Eye, The Unbiased Ear
.
Louie Wing held up his fist and said, "Do you decide to see me raise my fist?"
He then clapped his hands together and said, "Can you choose not to hear my hands clap?"
After a pause, Louie Wing said, "The mind that sees and hears is the vast unnamable fathomless void; the source, manifestation, and destination of all things. Your eye does not choose what to see, your ear does not choose what to hear. The void sees, the void hears.
When you eat your lunch, do you know how to digest your food and get the right nutrients to the various parts of your body? When you breathe, do you know how to extract and dispense the oxygen from your lungs? Of course not. So how does it happen? It is nothing other than the function of the unnamable void, which is the true nature of each one of you at this very moment.
